In my opinion, you should get some skills when you want to be a good quality manager. First, engineering background is needed ,you can solve the actually problem! Second, good communication and combined with other departments. Third, you can hold the whole department and provide a promotion to your guys The last one is you boss will support you when you make any decisions 😄
